Amiga Paradise Radio Volume Normalisation Completed
2026-10-11
Over the past week, the Amiga Paradise audio library has gone through an intensive volume review to make listening to the radio more comfortable and consistent.
A new internal scanner was developed to analyse the full music collection using several loudness and peak measurements. Its results were then checked manually, soundtrack by soundtrack, with each suspicious recording reviewed before any adjustment was made. The goal was never to make every track equally loud, but to reduce excessive differences while preserving the original dynamics and character of the music.
After several days of listening to the updated rotation, the result is already very noticeable: transitions between tracks are much smoother, with far fewer sudden jumps or drops in volume.
The scanner will also remain part of the maintenance tools, helping us spot unusual recordings as new soundtracks are added in the future.
