Music Updates Jumping Jack'Son & More

2025-11-15
Re-records:
- Jumping Jack Son was re-recorded. Loops are now correct and file names are now the ones from the original game files.
- License to Kill was fully re-recorded due to Title Screen file being corrupted and ending abruptly.
- Musics III from the group Enemies has been re-recorded. Quality has increased as we got rid of the old tape recordings, which were incomplete for many tracks of this musicdisk.
- It Came From The Desert has been re-recorded in another attempt to get the full soundtrack. Alas, it's still missing a few which I can't read properly for some reasons. The new version is still light-years ahead of the previous one which was very badly recorded with almost all instruments missing.
- P.P.Hammer has been re-recorded because global volume was too low. Game over tunes have also been added.
- Leonardo has been re-recorded.

Artboxes updated:
- Leonardo
- Les Portes du Temps

New Recording Jet Set Willy II

2025-11-14
Jet Set Willy II has been added to the database with 2 tracks (Title Screen & ingame BGM).

These soundtracks has been re-recorded, as I continue to check my old recordings:
- Future Wars: Time Travellers - old tape recording replaced.
- Operation Stealth - old tape recording replaced.
- A Prehistoric Tale - the old files were corrupted. The tracks have been reordered and should have their correct names now.
- Robocop - the faithfulness of the recording has been improved.
- Nitro - the faithfulness of the recording has been improved.

Music Updates Leander re-recorded

2025-11-13
Leander was re-recorded, adding an unused (rejected) track in the process. This soundtrack is now complete.

Music Updates The Great Giana Sisters re-recorded

2025-11-12
The Great Giana Sisters has finally been re-recorded. The old files were saturating too much and some high pitches noises were played in some parts of the title and options screens.

Music Updates Mr. Nutz & Stuff

2025-11-11
Mr. Nutz: Hoppin Mad has been re-recorded. This soundtrack was in the first ones I ever recorded back in 1996 and it was about time to replace this old tape recording from the game sound test. 2 more tracks have been added (Ending & Jungle BGM), making this soundtrack now complete.

SWIV has been re-recorded to get rid of those old files saturating way too much. Title Screen is now looping as it should and the continue music has been expanded to 30 seconds. I also removed the loop on Decimation track.

Ghouls and Ghosts tracks has been reordered and renamed so they reflect the order and names in the original audio files.

Music Updates Street Fighter II & More

2025-11-10
Added 5 unused tracks for Street Fighter II composed by Matthew Simmond (4-Mat).

Tom and the Ghost sountrack has been re-recorded, and 3 BGMs has been added.

Transartica old recording has been replaced with a newer, cleaner one.

Pinball Dreams: all SFX were merged per table, leading in a significant decrease in the number of audio tracks.

All R-Type musics composed by Darius Zendeh have been added, completing the Title tune by Chris Hülsbeck. This one has also been re-recorded so the whole soundtrack stays consistent in volume and sound quality.

Music Updates Re-records of old tapes soundtracks

2025-11-09
Another old soundtrack from audio cassette recordings has been updated: Jaguar XJ220.
In addition to the existing tracks, some chiptune music has been added, the origin of which I have no idea (I think they were added as a joke to fill the floppy disk completely). A pre-release version of the track called "Troubled Journey" (unused in the game) has also been added.

Global Gladiators was also re-recorded: the tracks now respect the standard recordings rules I use (loop x2 + 15sec fade). I also put all the SFX into one "bonus" track so the soundtrack doesn't have 60 1sec tracks.

Lotus III: The Ultimate Challenge was re-recorded too, the old soundtrack had some volume inconsistencies.

Music Updates Agony re-recorded

2025-11-07
The Agony soundtrack has been re-recorded, as the old soundtrack was a mix of old cassette recordings and new ones.
The tracks have been rearranged to try and match the in-game listening order as closely as possible. Two "direct from composer" tracks have also been added: the title screen and the high score screen.

Bugs & Fixes Bug fixes & Apidya re-record

2025-11-06
A small patch was applied this morning to correct the behavior of the news reader. The text is now correctly formatted when viewing older news articles. It is also now possible to comment on these older news articles.
Some corrections have also been made to the general user interface.

The registration process is operational again (it was still broken despite my efforts to fix it last week).
If you still encounter any problems, please report them on the Abandonware Ring Discord server (link at the bottom of the page).

The Apidya soundtrack has been re-recorded. The old soundtrack was one of the very first I recorded back in 1996 and came from an audio cassette recording using the game's sound test. My recording routine wasn't quite perfected yet, and some tracks weren't looping a second time, and the fade-out at the end of the track was too fast. All of this has now been corrected.
The new version has better sound quality and offers almost twice as many tracks, for 1 hour and 16 minutes of pure enjoyment.

Music Updates Shadow of the Beast II re-recorded

2025-11-04
Shadow of the Beast 2 has been re-recorded. Instead of the old incomplete 6 tracks one, you now have:
- Video intro (audio only)
- Title Screen (loading)
- Title Screen (press start)
- Levels 1, 2 & 3 individual tracks
- 3 game over musics: several versions exists, I don't know if all were used ingame.
- Levels 1, 2 & 3 medleys as bonus tracks.
